About Ben

Ben was born and raised in North Bay, where his love for nature, the outdoors, and close-knit relationships with family and friends have fostered a strong connection to his hometown.

After graduating from Widdifield Secondary School in 2016, Ben pursued a career in the trades. He attended the Electrical Techniques program at Canadore College and worked as an electrician’s apprentice in the construction industry. While he gained valuable skills and enjoyed his time in the trades, his strong interest in mathematics and passion for helping others led him to make a career change in March 2023. Ben joined his father, John, and his financial planning practice as an Associate Financial Advisor, continuing the legacy of personalized financial guidance.

Ben inherited the travel bug from his parents, travelling all around the globe including many countries in Europe and as far as Japan, with many further plans of globetrotting. Ben loves exploring new cultures and new locations, always looking for his next adventure. Some of Ben’s favorite destinations so far have been the East Coast of Canada, Central Europe, and Japan.

In his free time, Ben enjoys one of the many hobbies he has taken up over the years. Whether it be competitive curling, camping, fishing, playing chess, baseball, or writing and performing his own music. Ben seems to have dipped his toes just about everywhere and frequently discovers new passions and interests to learn about and enjoy.
